Star accepts the knife and tucks it away in his clothing with a small smile. He nodded a little as he cracked a few knuckles. He shifts his weight from one foot to the other in little hops, just a naturally restless person.
"My name is Sean Shaugnessy. Most people call me Star, however. Currently, I don't have a job as I mostly wander about through different cities. I'm actually debating staying here for longer, though. Tonight was certainly very interesting, and this seems like a fun city." His smile got a little crooked, a little wider.

Dieter sighed, "well you've both gotten my name. I guess we'll start with you Star since you're a local. Then I'll escort Mrs. Kandy back to Playari. Then I can get a couple hours rest until I have to be faced with mountainous amounts of paperwork. So lead on Mr. Shaugnessy?" Dieter had to protect these people until they got to their homes. There they would be monitored for trouble. However Dieter would definitely have to cover for project Custodian's involvement. That also translated into more paperwork. All well, better get everyone home safely. Dieter popped his neck and knuckles to make himself feel a little more comfortable.

Kandy gave Dieter a sympathetic look as he mentioned mountainous amounts of paperwork. It didn't seem fair to her that he had to go through all this trouble, and then have to be punished for it with lots of work. If she had her way, they'd catch those silly thugs and make them do the paperwork! When he cracked his neck and knuckles she couldn't help but frown for a fleeting moment, before her happy demeanor won out again. Cracking one's neck and knuckles was what all those people in movies did before fighting, wasn't it?
I wonder if he's expecting to run into more trouble... She considered thoughtfully, but dismissed it as just a bit of healthy stretching. The days events were making her read a bit more into the little things than she would normally. My goodness, I do think I'm being paranoid! Well, I'm certainly not used to having a bunch of unfriendly lycans jump out at me!
"If you're looking for work, there's a whole bunch of places back on Raewyn Island that are hiring." She told Star, running through the list in her head. "The Hospital is short-staffed if you have any experience in healing...the Academy of Thaumaturgy and Thaumaturgy International are hiring, as well. If I remember right, I heard they're especially looking for some enforcers and assets!"

He nods a bit to Dieter and starts to walk down the street, heading towards his studio apartment a few blocks away. He tips his head, listening to Kandy as he stretched out his shoulders. "Really? hmnn... I might have to look in on that. Thank you."

Dieter didn't feel like talking much. Really he was looking out for any potential trouble that might be coming. He just wanted to wait for Star to get home safely and see if he smelled trouble. After all sometimes there's cleanup of witnesses that are left to people. A bit moot at this point as Dieter got away but they could be feeling somewhat spiteful. Either way, Dieter didn't know what he really wanted to talk about. He certainly didn't want to talk about TI, that was just too much like work.

Kandy enthusiastically punched the air when Star expressed interest in her suggestions. "Yup, really! I'm very glad to help!" She smiled broadly, mentally congradulating herself on how she had helped people out that evening. She always liked to feel useful.
She let a few moments pass in silence, trailing behind the other two with a half-skip in her step, before it became too awkward for her to handle. "It it really far?" She asked Star, hoping that she hadn't asked that question already; she just couldn't remember if she had! Really, she was just trying to make their journey through the city seem less dead, but it wasn't so easy with so few things to talk about!
She could have talked about the lycans, but refrained. They were enough trouble as it was, no sense in bringing them back up! She could have talked about TI, but she didn't want to remind Dieter about his paperwork. She could have talked about herself and seem self-centered, or ask about her companions and seem nosy. There was just no way to win!
