Jasmine smiled at his questions. "Futons huh? I'm a quick learner. Washing silk? I think I can handle it, and unlike most I was NOT technologically challenged in my human life so I can probably solve your... um..." She grinned. "Issues" What was it with men and instructions? There had to be something missing in their essential make up. Human or vampire alike, there never seemed to be an end to this problem. She wondered if he had problems asking for directions when he was lost...
"Okay," She looked around the room once more, excited at the prospect of such a big task. She was glad she didn't have any stuff to move in. She doubted the apartment could take much more. She ran a hand through her hair and turned to him with one last question. She stopped herself from asking it just as the words bubbled to her lips. No, he had just provided her with a nice meal. It would be rude to ask what was for eating. But still, she couldn't help but wonder.

Dieter remembered on his own to mention food. His mind had skipped but food was indeed a necessity. "Ah that's right, help yourself to the blood in the fridge but always leave enough for my thermas. There's a small fee if you want to go out hunting in the big cities, remember no killing, and there's a lot of places around here that you can buy blood from. Odd sort of grocery if you will. I've got the number on a place that delivers on the fridge." A sudden fact hit him. It hadn't hit him before but it hit him pretty hard now. Jasmine had come with him willingly but she hadn't once mentioned a suitcase, clothes, or anything personal she might want.
This also meant that she literally didn't have anything but the shirt off her back. Dieter stumbled over this question. "Is that all you really own. I mean you'll need at least a toothbrush and a change of clothes. I could have you contact a friend of mine to lend you clothes if that's what you need." Dieter dreaded the idea of having someone with gravebreath and no clean laundry running around. With a heightened sense of smell that could make things a little awkward. The undead might be undead but that doesn't mean that a vampire should live with the hygene of a troll.

Jasmine nodded. "Okay, no killing, order in," She repeated with a grin. Easy enough. She could do that. She didn't have to kill. She didn't like killing. Killing made her feel like what she had become... a monster. She licked her lips, more out of habit than anything else. They felt dry. Yuk. She would have to do something about that.
Jasmine looked away from him, a blush creeping up her cheeks. She had hoped that he wouldn't ask that. She looked fairly clean. Her teeth were nice and white, her hair washed, her skin clear. But that wasn't because she could afford to buy things to do that. It was because she was forced to break into houses while people were away. Just to use a spare toothbrush she found in a drawer, to have a hot soapy shower. "Um, this is all I can..." She faltered. "Afford."

Dieter couldn't believe there Jasmine was living in poverty all this time. Especially since she had showered and had good dental care. Well at least her clothes didn't really smell, that was kind of an odd thing. Dieter noticed that she was blushing and said, "Not a thing to worry about. I've got some clothes lying around you could borrow or we could borrow some from Mizu. She'd be more than willing to fit you into one of the spare kimonos. Unfortunately that's all I have in terms of clothing. You might want to get a job somewhere. However these are all things for a different night. For tonight let me show you how to put out and make your futon."
Dieter then motioned for Jasmine to follow him back toward the bedroom. "Oh and don't let me forget to get you a toothbrush. Halitosis can be really nasty among vampires."

Jasmine nodded, still embarrassed. Dieter had done so much for her already. She had gone from having to break into houses just to stay clean, to living in a (yes, very crowded) apartment where she could get clothes, company, a toothbrush and even something to do. She didn't know how to thank him so she stayed quiet, vowing to herself that he would have a good looking (well, better looking) and more spacey apartment in no time.
She followed him into the bedroom, looking at everything her eyes found on the way. She had never slept on a futon before. She expected that it would be much softer than the ground she was used to. She didn't like to sleep in people's beds. She looked at Dieter. "You have done so much for me tonight. How can I repay you for..." She motioned around them. "All this?"

Dieter looked up, "You don't have to repay me anything. Just remember who helped you out and be willing to help me out in the future. If you live forever its good to have some close friends right?" Dieter then continued to instruct her as to how to clean up the room, make the futon, and then put it away. He showed her where some of the exercise equipment went and how to set up everything. Basement apartments without windows were nice in that you didn't have to worry about getting something that completely encased you. Coffins were great for when you were traveling as were sunproofed Hotel Bathrooms. Every once in a while the Cleaning service didn't read the do not disturb sign. Usually some explicit instructions to the front desk would help you out.
Dieter shook the thought on hotels. "Well have some blood. I've got work tomorrow evening and the sun should be rising soon. Have a good day's rest." Dieter laid out of his Futon and in a blur changed into his sleeping clothes. It was amazing. One minute he was fully dressed. He walked just out of Jasmine's sight for a split second and then used his super speed to change into a generous bathrobe, a T-shirt, and his silk boxers. Dieter had a penchant for silk and kept a lot of his clothes made out of the stuff. Dieter took off his robe and tucked himself into his bathrobe. "I sleep like the dead. Feel free to do whatever until you wish to rest. Just please don't break anything or mess with any of the swords, knives, or weapons. Dieter kept a knife hidden in the futon just in case something happened. He had invested on a security door and hoped that no one would bother him until tomorrow evening. He was tired. He then drifted into a peaceful sleep.

((So do you have a subboard here somewhere where I can post or do I just stay here? I won't reply anymore to this one cause your sleeping and couldn't possibly react to anything I said or did so... Other option, is continuing it, but saying something along the lines of... The next night so and so woke up to find..... blah blah blah, you get it. What do you reckon?))

((Well you could always post in the Coven in my estate there and clarify that it's actually my apartment in Raewyn Island. I like the idea of a next day thing. It'll definitely be interesting. It could even be a when I get home from working at TI.))

((Okay. Home from work then))
Jasmine connected the last wire, heard a small sound and sat back, admiring her work. She had been working on the sound system he had. It had taken her a fair part of the night but she was almost done. Now it was time to test it. She grabbed a CD from his pile and scanned the cover art. It looked like an okay band. She put it onto the machine and closed the lid, praying for it to work. There was a moment as it loaded and then the music began.
The sound of Led Zeplin filled the room. Rock music, but it sounded like harmonic ballads to her ears. She turned it up, glad to be done with the job. She even had the speakers looking neat. They didn't have any wires sticking out of them. She wondered what exactly he had done to them. She reminded herself never to ask his to fix anything technological for her.

Dieter heard a scream down the hall. It wasn't a frightened scream, nor was it an angry scream. It was a metal scream. Then he started hearing the lyrics, Come to the land of the ice and snow with the midnight sun and the hot springs blow. Cavern of the Gods. Ah, apparently his new guest was getting the Led out. Dieter looked at the parcel he was holding. He had bought some comfy sweat pants, a few different sizes of underwear in case he guessed wrong on the waste size. Also it meant that if he overshot it the smaller size would compensate and could even be seen as a compliment. Jasmine herself would have to return the sizes that didn't fit. He got some hot topic T-shirts with various bands and emblems, a couple relating to vampires. He had to joke.
Dieter walked into the apartment with the supplies that he'd picked up, "I see you got the sterio working. Did you find the futon comfortable?" He put the Wallmart bags down and locked three bolts behind him. Dieter didn't discourage guests or leaving. He discouraged intruding. The locks were not for people who he would expect to need to drop by, nor were they there to keep people in, they were there to keep nuisances out. Dieter pulled a box out of his jacket and tossed it across the room to Jasmine, "before I forget your spare key."

Jasmine looked up as Dieter came in holding some bags. "Mmm... I don't know what torture you inflicted on the stereo before I came, but, yes, the futon was extremely comfortable." She replied. She turned the music down so she wouldn't have to strain to hear him. She caught the box he threw her and didn't even get a chance to look at him quizzically before he explained. "Oh," She straightened up a bit and smiled. "cool, a key," She said with a laugh.
She looked at the Wallmart bags. "Is that for me to?" She asked, eyes aglow. She was over and examining the contents very quickly. She still couldn't believe how kind he was being. She looked at him. "Thankyou," She said. "thankyou so much!"

Dieter bowed, "I help people in distress. This seemed the best way to get you used to undeath and I see that you have been most helpful in enabling my new sound system. If you got that other shuriken reader with the letters DVD on it working I bought a movie for you to watch. 'V for Vendetta' was highly recommended to me by a friend. If you don't mind I think it would be fun to watch and pull up some of these fresh blood bags are on their way down here. I don't order out often but I felt I should spend some of the last of the evening with you."
Dieter looked around and liked that she hadn't decided to give the daishyo a good test drive. Japanses swords were always such a pain to keep in good repair and annoying in upkeep if you put chinks into them after attempting to cut through brick walls.

Jasmine smiled, for the DVD player was what she had spent the early part of the night working on. She had that one up and running quite quickly. DVD players were very common amongst humans. So, naturally, she had had many a chance to get them working. "The DVD player was much easier than your sound system to get working." She admitted. 'V for Ventetta'? Had she seen that one. She didn't think so. What was the one she had seen that she thought would be similar. Electic..? Electro..? Electra! That was it. That had been a great movie- well. She had thought so at the time. She had only been fourteen. "Cool, I haven't seen that one." She said, blushing once again at his last words. "That's very nice of you. But you don't have to spend time with me if you don't want to..." She trailed off, her voice low. People didn't usually like to spend time with her. They avoided her like the plague. One of the bad parts of being undead, but still... Company wasn't something she was used to and she didn't want to inconvenience him.

Dieter walked right past Jasmine and started speaking as he headed for the kitchen. "Inconvenience, pshhh you're the highlight of my day. I'd been forbidden from making a training session today, no really good missions came up, nothing happened, and it was a very looong day at work full of nagging and discontent. Not from my subordinates. Mostly from the office guys who want my reports. Plus I've been wanting to see this movie. Movies set in the not so distant future are lots of fun. 1984 didn't turn out like how it was expected." By this time Dieter was standing in front of the fridge and opened it up, "Here this blood's still good." Dieter tossed Jasmine a blood pack and took a second one for himself. Then he plopped down on the very comfortable pile of Turkish cushions and started helping himself to his beverage.

Jasmine laughed. She was glad she could do something, no matter how small, that would make him happy. She didn't understand much of what he said. Talking about subordinates and missions. When he threw her the blood pack, she caught it only by the tips of her fingers. She was normally a good catch but he had caught her off guard. She held it in one hand and used her other to put the DVD in the player. She switched the TV to the right channel and pressed play. Sound emerged from all around them as she sat back down. She had figured out how to hook up his sound system to it. Surround sound. She grinned at him. "Neat huh?" She started on her blood.
