"Its no underground pit fight but it seems like good entertainment. Good pit fights are a lot of fun." Dieter held out his hands and flipped them around. Dieter didn't fight for money, he enjoyed fighting. It was in his blood and he could never stop it. He'd purposely slow to human speeds just so he could perfect the fluidity of his motions. Pit fights were really a good way to test some of your martial prowess. Dieter loved challenging dojos in Japan. They were rarely up to snuff with his swordsmanship or the use of his knife dart. However every fight taught him something. Dieter had spent the better part of his life learning his martial arts really well. It was because of his training that he could focus his mind so well on spells. Even without any praise, Dieter could tell that his master was impressed at how naturally martial arts and training came to Dieter. He'd already done his usual training exercises for today and it was getting to be a good time for a movie.
Dieter then heard the movie start with, "remember remember the 5th of November."

Jasmine could tell from the way that he spoke about underground pit fighting that it was something he loved. Jasmine had never fought. She had never had to. She had pretty good reflexes, but they were all directed at the flight syndrome. Until she had been turned, she had had no real reason to fight. She had been considered a girly girl. There was no reason to learn.
The movie came on. She didn't recognize the start, as he did. She watched it carefully. "You might have to show me some time," She commented quietly.

"Its my job to fight and protect." Dieter commented very slowly as he was bedazzled by V's colorful use of alliteration. He sipped some of his blood as he watched the Bailey explode and corrupt government agencies conspire. Dieter loved conspiracy films. The espionage and the guile were delightful to watch. It was one thing to win a fight, it was another thing entirely to set someone up for their destruction. As the film came to an ending and revealed its theme, Dieter couldn't help but admire the art in which the movie was done. Not to say he hadn't seen other artistic movies (Dieter was indeed a Kurosawa fan.) It had been a while since he had seen one done well. Dieter looked to Jasmine to see what her response was to the movie.
((I don't know if you've seen V for Vendetta but I highly recommend it.))

Jasmine watched the movie with a rapt expression, only absently drinking her blood. The movie had a great plot line. She was still staring at the screen with wide eyes as the credits rolled. She tore her eyes away to look at Dieter. He was looking at her for a response. She scoured her brain, trying to think of something to say. Some suitable reaction to the movie. "Wow." Was all she could manage, her voice low and awed. "That was good." She stressed the word good unconsciously. It had been good. Better than she had expected.
((No, I haven't, but I will now when I get the chance. Thanks))

Dieter looked at the time. It was getting close to 5AM enough time before getting to sleep for Jasmine to start on learning finer vampire tricks. "Well would you like to learn how to turn to mist Jasmine?" Dieter used his telekinesis to hit the buttons on the DVD player. Dieter didn't see any use of remotes but he kept them around. He got up and offered a hand to help Jasmine out of her seat.

Jasmine's eyes shone. She put her hand up and allowed herself to be helped up. "I'd love to." She breathed. She hadn't been able to get that thought out of her head all night. It would be fun to be able to move in mist form. She was very envious that he could do it. But now he was going to teach her! She was so lucky to have found him.

Dieter looked Jasmine in the eyes and started his lesson. "Well it depends on your mind. You must convince yourself you're nothing. For arrogant guys like me I just picture myself as some water and a plain face. I feel like nothing thus I become somewhat like nothing. After you get used to the feeling it becomes easier and easier. Now I don't have to picture myself as anything other than mist. You need to picture something as close to a nobody or nothing as you can and convince yourself you are that. That will be the key to figuring it out."
Dieter turned to mist and flew behind Jasmine. "You probably won't get it the first few times. You need to think hard on it and believe it. Your body wants to do it though. It's part of your nature. Training always becomes easier if you've eaten so take a snack before you try it."
((Don't forget to post in the Palari thread I started. Its reserved for you.))

"Convince myself that I'm nothing?" Jasmine laughed. "That should be easy." She thought quickly. What was the closest thing to nothing she had ever seen? What had he said? Water? No, water was important. What about dirt? No, dirt made up a good part of the world. Maybe, a snail. Yes, what were snails good for? She imagined herself as a snail.
As she had tried the night before, she felt a little more comfortable trying to turn to mist now. She took a breath and closed her eyes. She willed herself forward... And fell. She found herself flat on the ground, cheeks bright red in embarrassment. "Oops," She muttered.

Dieter chuckled, "that was a good try. Well give it another go. Snail's a good one. I like it. Concentrate on it. You need to framiliarize yourself with the feeling of being mist. Once you start knowing what that feels like you can concentrate on that and you'll be able to change with a bit more ease. Now try again."
Dieter helped Jasmine to her feat and then crossed his arms, signifying that he was waiting patiently. Meanwhile he was using his telekinesis to set up the Futons in the next room.

Jasmine tried again. This time she gave herself over entirely to the feeling. She closed her eyes and concentrated hard. Then there was a feeling of air moving through her. She willed herself forwards again. This time, as mist, she soared through the air. She tried to turn solid again and had a moment of panic. How did you do that?
She tried reversing what he had said. Her willed herself to be herself again and she found herself standing on the other side of the room. Her legs hadn't moved. She had done it! She had really turned to mist! She smiled at looked at him. "I did it!" She said happily. "Did I do it?"

Dieter smiled, "your focus wavered a little but that was very good. You'll need to practice doing it more often. Now if you may it is time to sleep. The sun is rising and I'm tired." Dieter had a toothbrush in his mouth and had tooth past dribbling out the corner of his lips. Dieter then walked into the bathroom to spit. After that he faded to black into his futon.

Jasmine copied him. "Night."
((Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah, you get it. Do you want to continue again or just with the Playari one?))

((I think this as good a place as any to end the establishing of our character's meeting. If you want to learn something else or do something in particular make a new thread within Palari because I don't expect the nightmares one to last too long))
