Dieter could hear the kick coming from a mile away. Super speed and super strength would easily end this fight within moments. Dieter felt that it would be unsporting to do so and from his strong stance jumped into the air and extended one leg out and made a solid spinning kick aimed for Caldera's head. In midair he altered the course and arched the foot directly into Caldera's thigh hitting the tendon between the leg and the rest of her thigh. With the amount of strength that he hit the tendon it would be hard to kick or support her weight with the leg. Dieter pushed off the thigh a little after connecting landed soundly and then moved into a muay Tai stance.

The moves were a little hard to predict but Dieter had taken a very versatile defensive stance. Once the kick started coming it'd be hard and fast but Dieter had much less distance to move than the kick would take to perform. Dieter blocked the attack and then switched to snake Kung Fu. He made a few quick strikes into Caldera's toso. Each hitting a tendon or pressure point on her right arm. He used one hand to keep his block up moved in fast, hit a couple of times, then Dieter backed off. The pressure points would leave a lot of her torso somewhat weakened and would mean that her attacks would be somewhat slower.

Dieter realized a lot of the strength had left her upper body. She could manage attacks but they would be a bit more difficult to hit with her hands. Most of the strength she had were in her legs and she'd use that to gage his movements. Dieter noticed something interesting. Caldera had gone onto the offensive. This was an interesting Turn. Caldera usually didn't go on the defensive. Dieter was perfectly fine with that.
Dieter then focussed on his fluid movements. He focussed his chi back toward his navel and then swished his arms back into a Kung Fu stance. Kung Fu would be perfect for an attack. Most of the moves would counter a counter and lead a concealed strike home. Dieter would make sure he pulled his punches significantly and would avoid vital points. He'd heal Cal after this just to avoid the bruises later.
Dieter took the high ground before advancing down a downward slope. He worked to close the distance and knew a kick was probably coming. If one came he could swish his hands and then come with a long arm swing, grapple, or even a rather nasty trip.

Dieter figured that Cal would go for a take down. She would have to risk a lot. If he gave her an openning she would take advantage of it. Since she was going on the defensive she would be looking for one to exploit. If Dieter created one and then shifted his stance very quickly to deliver a muay tai blow to her other leg that would stop her dead in her tracks. There was a risk of breaking some bone when he would strike her but he could heal those. Dieter would do his best not to break any bones doing the sudden shift to a strong stance and then deliver a swift elbow to the joint.
Dieter feigned a kick that swiftly went by Cal. He planted his foot and changed his stance and waited for the attempt to begin. He then brought his elbow down on Cal's knee. He felt a bit of bone shift when he struck the vulnerable joint and winced as he heard it.

Dieter started healing Caldera's legs and the damage done via the attacks on her pressure points. "Its not that inconceivable that you would get into the dragoons. Sure there's a bunch of assholes that pull the strings but I'm pretty some day they'll be eating crow when they come crawling back for your help." Dieter then realize he had slipped into reading Caldera's mind. It was a force of habit when one paused. Usually that meant they were thinking over their story or their course of action.
"sh*t I'm sorry Cal I didn't mean to read your mind." Dieter looked around. "I've got some tea while your leg rests up a little. I fixed the bone but you might want to take a moment for some tea." Dieter had fixed the joint flawlessly; Dieter througth that if he told Caldera she couldn't run around she wouldn't get so antsy every time she got some tea.

Dieter smiled, "well we should go back inside. I think we should go to the pond garden for tea. It's really a nice place to sit outside." Dieter then lead Caldera through the castle back down to the first floor. There was a wooden platform that portruded out into the garden and a table was already made. Mizu brought out several different kinds of tea. They ranged from Chinese to British. There were a multitude of different herbs that were there. Dieter looked them over for poisons out of habit. Of course there weren't any poisons and the herbs were delicately very well chosen. Dieter remembered how his master would beat herbology into his head so as to not be fooled by an apothecary wishing to poison you.
The table was Japanese styled and three cushions were set there. "Well why don't you have a seat my guest."

Mizu sat down and started pouring tea. "Here is some of our Jasmine Tea. Dieter and I both can only partake of certain drink and no food. Tea and alcohol are nice to try every once in a while." Mizu was glad she had done so well in the tussle. She would win every once in a while. The tests were on combat skill alone and Mizu hadn't had as much training as Dieter. She was focused on things like cateloging research, training her meditations and use of magic, preparation for guests. She was trained to serve. Dieter allowed her a lot of freedom but Mizu still liked to stick to some of the things she'd come to know so well.
Dieter took a cup and sipped. Jasmine teas were one of his favorites. "Try it Mrs. Caldera. It's good stuff."

Dieter paused, "well there's a lot of stuff you could see, monuments and such, but those're kinda made for vampires to enjoy. You wouldn't really get much out of those. Your eyes aren't accustomed to it if you get my meaning. There's garden walking, fighting tournaments, and other things like that. I'd caution you against entering a fighting tournament here. Even though you are allowed to use a lot of techniques in there it doesn't stop a room full of vampires from lynching you when you set off a bright flare." Dieter didn't even want to go in how much ire she'd incur if she used a sunlance or something. She couldn't expect to keep her throat intact for more than two nights afterward. That'd be a very serious insult in vampire society.
Dieter sipped his tea and looked out on the garden. A fish from a pond leapt up and then disappeared back into the water. Fish were always so much fun to keep.

It was rare for a person to spuradically show some interest in vampire culture. Unfortunately most of vampiric culture was somewhat different than the average human could really appreciate. The greatest monuments were in pitch black areas where varying degrees of darkness could play with the vampiric spectrum of sight. The texts of the library were often in tongues long dead. The fighting clubs did not take into account human fragility. Most humans here served as vampires servants and food supply. It wasn't that they were mistreated it was merely that they chose that duty, well in most cases anyway. It was hard to come up with lots of things Caldera could do within the Coven. The nature hikes in the moonlight were usually very interesting. Dieter didn't know if such an activity would interest Caldera.
"Well there's some places to hike that offer spectacular sights and lend residence to interesting tenants."

Dieter decided the path that took Caldera by a particular ayakashi should be very interesting. The ayakashi was well sealed and warded into a particular area. No one knew what he guarded in particular. It was only known that the cave that he stands to guard is now empty. Even the Council of Elders has been in the cave to search it. He just stands there bored protecting nothing. However the particular ayakashi is fun to see. After all, who wouldn't want to see a nasty ayakashi from a safe distance.
"Alright Caldera shall we walk then. Mizu please look after things while I'm gone."
"Of course Dieter." Mizu went back inside and disappeared within the shadows.

Dieter took Caldera through a long meandering hike through a forested area. The trees consisted mostly of old hardwood and maple trees which ultimately gave way to cliff faces. After about an hour or two of hiking they finally reached a cave. The creature that was there could only be described if you crossed a snake, with a hawk that had mated with a deer. It was a quadruped that had an incredibly had a coat of a fawn, this gave way to scales and a snake head with a neck that was at least 8 feet long. On the ayakashi's back was wings that belonged to some sort of bird of prey and could easily have carried the creature's weight.
"Well here we are." Dieter pointed out.

"Why don't you ask him yourself." Dieter smiled at Caldera slyly. "Hey Ted how's it going?"
"You again. I know you're not going to try and enter. You brought me a tasty snack this time.." The Ayakashi's forked tongue slipped out and wiggled as a snakes tongue would. "She does look delicious."
"Cool it maestro, this is Cal she's a visitor. Try and eat her and I'll pummel you. Remember what happened last time you fought me."
"I still haven't completely recovered that ankle you know. As much as I hate you it seems you're the only one who still visits. Hello Cal." The Ayakashi's head tilted so that Cal was in his vision. His slit pupil eyes focussed in on her and gave a reptilian blink. He seemed curious to have a new and interesting visitor, or hungry, it was difficult to tell.

"I could fly really really fast if someone let me out of here. I'd love to rend flesh again and I could be of great service but someone just keeps me here!"
Dieter smiled wickedly, "Well I said hello and you tried to kill me. You should learn some manners. How do you know that as soon as I release you from your guard detail you won't show up to pester me?"
"Obnoxious high pitched homosexual!"
"Say what you want you're still protecting nothing from anyone who isn't me or my guests."
"You could've asserted your right as heir when we first met!"
"Yeah but my way was much more fun." Dieter finished the statement. This was another bit of baggage tied to Dieter now due to the Numidian's penchant for curses tied to them . Dieter had once tried to approach the ayakashi with the intention of freeing him. Because Dieter was attacked on sight he felt it would be better to fight. After some intense fighting he had injured the ayakashi and it was then that Dieter asserted his right as the heir of the Numidian's bloodline and the one who controlled the curse. They ayakashi then realized that any good will between Dieter and the creature was lost due to the initial impolite attack. It'd been years since then but Dieter still liked visiting every once in a while to get a cheap laugh. After all its fun watching arrogant jerks put in an inferior position until they were sincerely humble and polite.

Dieter looked off in the distance, "put up with a lot of crap for a millinium or so, do a lot of hard work, get screwed over enough times to get smart, lots of luck, and some good planning. That's why I have what I have. Trust me I wouldn't recommend it to you." Dieter then looked at Tom. "Well you behaving still?"
"Words fail to express my loathing."
"Good lets continue walking guest."

"Well like any horror movie of course there has to be rain. How else would our plants grow here and why would we have run off if systems if it didn't rain. I'm thinking next we should take you home. I mean you don't want to see everything here on one trip now do you. Also I have some things I have to take care of. We should finish our hike and continue onward." Dieter didn't want to take Caldera into the catacombs and sewers. Such things would be folly for a human. There lurked monsters that even the vampires couldn't recognize. Such abberants were best left alone.
Dieter then opened his mind to sense where the opening to the mortal realm would be and find the ones closest to where they exited.
