Jasmine heard someone at the door. That was strange. Nobody ever came here. And Dieter let himself in. She turned to mist and appeared behind the door. She was getting better at that. She opened the door and stood, looking puzzled, but happy, in the doorway. "Hi!" She greeted cheerfully.
She was wearing some clothes that she had bought after Dieter had taken her out. She had needed more than just trackies and T-shirts. She had know Dieter wouldn't mind. She was wearing a skirt that was just shorter than her knee. It was plain black, but it fitted her nicely. Her top was a crimson singlet top. Her hair was down, and just a little messy. She normally didn't bother getting cleaned up until Dieter was due. Well, doing her hair and stuff anyway. Who was there to impress when nobody was home? She felt slightly embarrassed at her messy hair and sweaty face. She had been moving furnature. It wasn't her fault, but still...

Jasmine shook her head. "Sorry, no, would you like you come in? He should be home soon." She offered. Okay, soon was a bit of an exaggeration. He wasn't due for at least another hour, but she would be glad of the company. She held the door wide for him.
Jasmine grinned. "Yeah, you should have seen the place before!" She shook her head in amazement. "How anyone gets that messy, I'll never know..."
"Nice to meet you Ashen, I'm Jasmine." She smiled again, so pleased to have someone to talk to. "I'm surprised Dieter mentioned me at all, I thought he was always really busy."

Jasmine closed the door gently behind him and followed him to the table. She glanced at the papers for a moment before taking a seat facing him. "Missile? Mine?" She was perplexed. She had thought that Dieter was a messy person. Now that she thought about it, all the junk he had everywhere, could be used as weapons. They WERE trip hazards after all.
"He's your boss? That must be nice." She said with a smile. Then she frowned. "He hasn't mentioned you to me though. He didn't even tell me what he does. All I know is it has to do with politics." She shook her head, looking confused. She was perfectly at ease with her little knowledge of Dieter. Well, almost at ease.

Jasmine nodded. All she managed to get was that he was like a bodyguard and he didn't like paperwork. That was all she really needed to know anyway. It was better not to know too much about him work, in case she didn't approve of it. Like with the alcohol. She hadn't approved of that. And he probably hadn't liked her involving herself. But she was extraordinarily opinionated sometimes. She couldn't help it.
"Uh huh..." She smiled, quickly changing the subject to something she understood. "Would you like a drink?"
((Sorry, way short... I have to get to work...))

((Yikes, no problem... Ick... Dentists...))
Jasmine got up quickly and went to the kitchen. She pulled out two bags of blood and served them up in cups. She was sure Dieter wouldn't mind. She brought them out with a smile on her face and placed one in front of him.
"Oh, a few weeks now I think." She replied. She hadn't really kept up with the time. She lived for the time when Dieter was home, not that she let him see that though.

Jasmine felt Ashen's awkwardness and it made her sad. She supposed he did have work to do and he should really be going. But if she had to beg Dieter not to get angry with him she would. He was the one who had suggested she find herself come company anyway.
She was mulling over this as she absentmindedly took a gulp of her drink and choked. Oops. Not the best first impression to make. She recovered quickly and coughed, wiping away a bit of stray blood with the back of her hand. She blushed.
"Sorry, I'm still getting used to this stuff..." Her explanation was weak so she answered his question instead of dwelling on her accident. "Yeah, it's nice. I've had to do a bit of fixing and redecorating though..." She waved her hand, motioning to the room around them.

Jasmine looked a bit alarmed. "Am I supposed to work?" She hadn't known that. What if Dieter was expecting it. She didn't know about politics. She could learn she supposed, but what if she was against what she had to do? No, she was getting ahead of herself. She just had to listen to his answer and go from there.

Jasmine calmed. Good, she wasn't expected to do anything. She could do a job, she would be happy to do it, but if people were expecting this from her, she tended to fail miserably. "Oh, okay..." She relaxed, sighing a little. She looked down at her cup for a moment before taking a sip. She didn't choke this time.
"Okay, you had me worried for a second there." She admitted with a relieved smile.

"Train?" JAsmine asked in reply. "Like fight? Or just the whole turning into mist and superspeed thing?" She asked. She wondered how long he had been a vampire. He had mentioned 300 years hadn't he? He didn't look very old, and yet neither did Dieter. She had expected that even vampires age over time...

"Okay..." Jasmine was a little afraid. She must have looked it too. A war? Never good. And why was everyone warning her about attack? Why would anyone attack her? But then, she was close to Dieter. She wondered what he would do if someone did hurt her... The idea of testing that scenario was very appealing.
"Magic?" She asked. She had heard of vampires doing magic but she had assumed they were something different. She leaned closer to him slightly. "Can you do magic?"

Jasmine nodded slowly. Academy, Dieter had mentioned that when they had first met, when he had tried to figure out if she was going to go around killing people or not... mHe had suggested she go there. "What happened?" She asked, picking up on his pause.
Wait, he had stayed with Dieter before? Oh, so Dieter liked to have house guests... But when they were in trouble? Like... charity? Rage, an unpleasant emotion, boiled up inside of her. Did he think she was a charity case? Is that why he was letting her live with him? She smiled sweetly at Ashen. "Just a moment," She said, her voice serene. She got up quickly and went into the kitchen again. Once she was out of his sight she picked up one of Dieter's plates and smashed it against the ground. She ripped a drawer out of the wall and crushed it with strength she didn't know she had. She straightened herself up again, took a deep breath and calmed herself down. "I feel better now..." She breathed. She leaned against the counter for a moment. She would have to bring that up with Dieter...

Jasmine smiled gently, her eyes still closed. Her voicxe was surprisingly soft and gentle now that she had taken her anger out on something. "No, I'm fine now.... I just have to speak to Dieter when he gets home." She assured him, her smile genuine.
She opened her eyes and saw him standing, looking slightly out of place. "I'm okay, really." She promised. And she was, until Dieter got home. She was seriously considering using the swords Dieter had told her not to practice with.

"Oh, I know all about Dieter's regrets." She grinned at him. "He got drunk once after he had nightmares." She told him with relish. It comforted her to think even Dieter did things he regretted. It made everything seem so much more... human.
She licked her dry lips and dropped her gaze to the mess on the floor. "Sure, a good guy..... Anyway," She looked back up at him. "We were talking about you." She remembered. "What do you do in your spare time?"

Jasmine smiled at him as he told her about what he did. She slid off the bench where she sat and walked slowly towards him. She rearranged her face to look completely innocent, sweet. It wasn't an act. She was over her bout of anger. She stopped just in front of him and her eyes sought his as she looked up from under her lashes.
"Maybe you should have some fun and take me out for a drink sometime..." She suggested. She dropped her eyes again. Why had she suggested that? Was she so craved for company from her year of being alone that she set herself up for rejection. She didn't know what she would do if he said no. She looked back at him with pleading eyes.

Jasmine felt the rejection through his words. She felt so embarrassed. She turned around and picked up another plate. She held it up from the ground for a moment before letting it drop, an ear-shattering sound accompanying it. "Maybe you should just leave the paperwork here. I'll make sure Dieter gets it." She told him. She was angry at herself now. Why had she set herself up like that? She just wanted to go and curl up and die!
