Jasmine felt a hiss escape her teeth. That was the second time he had called Dieter her 'master' and this time her anger won out. She took her anger out on the table, pushing it over onto the ground so hard she heard it splinter. She wondered why she put up with this. She had been kidnapped for god's sake! Why hadn't she made herself a big nuisance instead of being so quiet the whole time. She had made conversation with him! Urgh! She was so angry at herself.

Dieter walked into the room. "Uhhhg Morin. You had to go with a cliche. I mean c'mon man. I just thought you had some more creativity in you. I mean you had some interesting plots to screw with those zen monks at the very least. Has time dulled your standards?" Dieter knew Morin was too smart to be thrown of by most of Dieter's shenanigans. Dieter never liked doing the work of the cult. Even if it was at the behest of his superiors it was always distasteful, however it was never boring and required an artists touch. No detail could ever be left out.
"So you've caught a new pawn. So now what are you going to do, torture her into professing her allegiance to you before trying to turn her against me?"

Jasmine's heart soared. Dieter was here! She skipped out to greet him. Even though it had only been a day, she had missed him more than ever. "Dieter! You're here!" She turned to glare at Morin. "Did you get my note?"
She didn't stop staring at Morin. "He was so mean. He wouldn't even let me walk myself. He hit me. I was very upset." She pouted. "But I'm alright now. I missed you!"

"Morin, I think you know with simple cost benefit analysis and my history what the answer is. I'll always go for option C." Dieter concentrated his telekinesis as hard as he could to yank the blade. Thus giving Jasmine a chance to slip under. After that Dieter erected a force field around him. "Speaking of weak desciples, you weren't always that strong Morin!"
Dieter knew it was better to play on Morin's past and weaknesses. After all, most visual feints, bluffs, and quick movement wouldn't work on him. It was hard to surprise an opponent who could hear and smell your every action. Dieter had to out talk him if he wanted an edge. Dieter didn't want to kill Morin. He just wanted to escape. After all, he was no longer an assassin, but a protector.

Jasmine hated his restraining hold. It wouldn't let her get to Dieter. She tugged at it for a second then frowned. She didn't like it. When he pulled her back and put his sword to her throat, it took a moment to understand what was happening. What the..? Oh. Now she got it. But she didn't get why. She didn't even want to think about it. She didn't like the feel of the blade against her skin. It was scary.
When the sword moved, it took Jasmine a moment to think properly. She moved as quick as she could, but she doubted whether that was quick enough. She had never been very fast.
((I won't just leave in case you come up with something else Morin. Wouldn't be fair huh?))

Dieter blinked to avoid being stunned from the flash as sparks and electricity crackled and flashed against his force field. After the sparks ended he instantly dispelled the force field then created a larger one incorporating Jasmine at the very border. Leaving Morin directly outside it's reach. Dieter held his concentration fast on keeping Jasmine covered by the force field. So long as it stood, he and Jasmine would be well protected for the moment. Dieter kept his eyes open and took a few steps toward Jasmine. His mind only working on keeping the force field up at the moment. He could do this for quite some time, especially sense he didn't need to breath. In fact, there was a time in which he kept a force field up around an assassination target and fought until the mortal had run out of air.
Dieter gave a sadistic smile as he took slow strides toward Jasmine and Morin. He contracted the diameter proportionally as he got closer and closer to Jasmine in order to lessen the strain. Not because it was exhausting him in the least but he would need to conserve his energy if he was to fight Morin.

Jasmine winced as Morin did- whatever it was he did. She didn't understand why it didn't get her or Dieter, but she was relieved it didn't. She didn't like Dieter's smile as he moved towards her. She didn't like Morin trying to hurt Dieter. She hated this whole situation. Why had she let the stupid man take her away in the first place. She should have put up more of a fight. Or learned how to use magic or something.

((I understand, but we have to wait for Dieter...))

Dieter readied his other hand for a shield which would parry the ice shards as they impacted the force field. He continued his sadistic grin. "Oh this will definitely be an incredibly fun fight." Dieter then lashed a curse out, "Nightmare!" Dieter exclaimed as he poured will into the spell. He hoped the spell would at the very least keep Morin preoccupied so that Dieter could make a finishing blow.
((Sorry for taking a while to post. I've been busy with midterms and disease. The next post will contain considerably more dialogue.))
