Kyana glided into the headquarters of MAGI, a business she hadn't invested very much of her money in lately. But that would soon change. Hopefully.
She passed by some posters of drinks with little tropical umbrellas and rolled her eyes. What a disguise. Honestly, how the non-magic folk never caught on to businesses like this, she would never know. Well, she knew, she just couldn't believe their ignorance.
"I'm looking for Nicholas?" Kyana asked in her melodic voice, although the statement sounded more like a curt demand.

The women behind the desk looked up, and without missing a beat, pressed the intercom to her side.
"Mr Traptory, President Galatea is here to speak with you."
The intercom was silent for almost a minute, and the secretary was about to press the buzzer again when the elevator clearly marked 'CEO' swung open, and out walked Nicholas. Dressed in his formal business suit he walked up to Kyana.
"Ah President Galatea, it's been far, far too long." He added with a showy bow. "Won't you step up to my office for some more relaxing scenery, and perhaps a drink or two?" He motioned towards the elevator. "As your host it is the least of the luxuries I can offer you."

"Nicholas," Kyana greeted warmly, turning to meet the CEO of MAGI. She accepted his formal bow with a mere nod of her own head, following him to the elevator he had just arrived from.
"Most certainly. A drink would be refreshing, thank you."
The elegant woman stepped into the elevator, stepping towards the back so Nicholas could work the controls. Her mannerisms were polite enough, and she made sure to treat Nicholas as a friendly acquaintance. This was business, after all, and it need not aspire to anything else. And declining a drink would simply be impolite.
"I hear you've been working hard," she offered for small-talk, not hesitating to look the young man in the eye.

"Hmm, working hard is an unfortunate side effect of the desire for progress. You don't get anything without being willing to work for it, don't you teach that same idea to your students?" He said with a smirk.
The elevator arrived quickly at Nick's office, and he entered the room and proceeded to a side drink table.
"How strong do you like it then?" He asked, as he opened up a well stocked liquor cabinet.
She sought him out, when she wished to discuss business, he was quite sure she would let him know.

"Yes, something along those lines," she agreed, nodding to his philosophy. She stepped out after Nicholas and into his office, looking around at the grand decor. Surely the young man was progressing well... his liquor collection suggested as much.
Sauntering over to his drink table, she placed two clasped hands daintily on the counter and tilted her head, allowing her hair to fall in luxurious style around her shoulder. The woman wasn't sure how much charm she would need to get a good deal today, but if she was subtle enough without Nicholas calling her on it, she might succeed. But he was a man with much business experience, and Kyana was merely a 434 year old elf...
"Just something light, if you would, Nicholas," she said, not adding the slightest hint of flirtation behind her voice. She nodded to him before beginning her dialogue.
"Do you remember how much I love the sea?" A little twitch of her left eyebrow made it unneccessary for more words. It was Nicholas's turn to speak.

At her request for a light drink he pulled a bottle of elvish wine from the cabinet. Dwarves were masters of hard liquor, but elvish wine was without compare. The price of such a bottle that he was breaking open so randomly would make some people break out in a sweat, but not to Nick. What was the point of wealth if you didn't use it. Popping the cork out he poured two glasses of the red liquid and handed one to her. Smiling all the way.
"The sea eh? What do you want me to build you a floating house out there? I could you know..." He said with a smile. "I could mount it with all sorts of nifty gadgets too, oh the ideas are limitless."

She took one of the glasses, smiling inwardly to herself at his choice. Old elvish wine... it had been awhile.
"Nifty gadgets, hmm? I might take you up on that," she said, letting that smile of hers make a cameo and shook her head, "No floating house for me. I'm looking for a small little boat I can spend my free weekends on. It'll have to be... puppy-friendly," she added, taking a sip of the wine, savouring it as it fell over her tastebuds, "And I came here because I only get the best," Kyana reminded him. It was difficult to say if she was flattering him or stating a simple fact. Either assumption would be correct.
She took another sip to give him time to reply.

"Oh ho, just a peaceful boat eh? Well you must have had something special in mind, or else you wouldn't have come straight to me. So come now, we're all friends here, what was on your mind Kyana? I can work miracles here, but only if I have a little teensy bit of information."
He stopped for a second. "Dog eh? I always pegged you for more of a cat person, guess I lost that bet."

"Well..." Nicholas knew her too well, she decided, and she wondered if this would pose as a problem in the near future. She discarded this thought, "I was hoping for something... stealthy. Silent, difficult to see, or if that's not possible it'll need a good disguise..." she wouldn't let on as to what she was planning. She just needed a boat which she could aptly name Kunoichi.
And when he commented on her choice of companion, she smirked, "Unfortunately I've been told cats don't like the water."

"Hmm, yeah they aren't fond of the water, that much is true. Now if you want stealth I can combine a magi-teck chameleon system into the boats surface, but that would only render it difficult to see. At a distance it would be invisible when still, and seem just a blur or trick of the light when moving. However, were someone close to it when it was moving, you'd be seen, even Magi-Teck has it's limits you know. But adding that much high tech circuitry to the boat would weaken it's structural integrity, I suppose we could try to add a protective layer of exo armor to it, and maybe a few short range weapons or two should anyone get too close. Oooh yes, we could arm it with flares or smoke bombs with some chafe grenades to knock out any technological way of picking it up. And we could design it with the stealth system in mind, so it would be invisible to eye and tech alike. But that many tricks would give it one hell of a magical aura, which would mean that some mage sight would be able to pick it out like a sore thumb, so we'd have to find a way to mask it's magical aura without lessening it's overall stealth capabilities..."
He wasn't actually talking to Kyana past the second sentence. Talking to himself while he thought was a bad habit of his.

She could tell that he wasn’t talking to her anymore. She didn’t mind, he was working it out the old fashioned way... she listened politely, sipping her wine, smiling behind her glass every time Nicholas had to contradict himself.
“I’ll leave all the critical thinking to you, and I know you’ll do your best to keep this boat... off the radar...” she was hinting at what she would like her boat to be like, “...and if it’s not too much trouble, would you mind if we kept this conversation between ourselves?” The elf added, wanting to keep this business deal confidential. She didn’t want anyone who was nosing about to come across it in records and question her about it. She would be very unhappy if that were to happen.
Kyana Galatea had big plans.

Nicholas was so deep in brainstorming this new interesting idea that we barely looked up at her. "Hmm? Oh yes, completly secret, not a problem." He said, pulling a stack of paper from his desk and started rapidly drawing schematics. This was an interesting project, and he had so many good ideas, it was going to be fun. Then he snapped his fingers.
"Oh wait! I almost forgot the most important part."
He spun around towards her and then looked closely.
"The part that is most essential, that not even I can do without your input."
"Color."

Kyana smiled.
"Vanilla," she responded immediately, pushing some dark hair over her shoulder and taking another sip of wine, "I'd like a boat that it's pure white, or a dull beige colour. Somewhere in between."
Kyana smiled and turned back to the elevator.
"You know how to contact me concerning expenses. And, if possible, could we maybe refer to this as... 'Project Aqua'... in corresponding letters and with company? This is really a project I don't need suspicion on," she added with a raise of her eyebrow. Leaving her half-sipped glass of elvish wine on one of the side tables as she waltzed to the elevator exit, Kyana proceeded to let herself out.
"Thank you, again, Nicholas. And as always, it has been a pleasure."
Kyana pressed a button and the elevator doors swallowed her up as she turned and shared a private smirk to herself.
